Who Are You

Into my life you walked so free,
As though I called you openly,
Presuming that I want you here,
Perhaps I do not want you near,
Or perhaps you are just what I need.

Who gave you rights to act this way?
To spark my heart back to a flame?
Did you not think perhaps that I,
Do not want to risk this fire?
Or perhaps I do, and so I stay.

Why must this be how I see you?
Attraction growing oh so soon.
Drive me insane with what you say
Send me crazy day by day
Until I live for what you do.

So leave me now, while still there’s time,
Don’t let me trip across that line,
Where mind falls short, and heart controls,
Where thoughts are blank, emotion rolls
Go now, don’t let me make you mine.
