Midnight Quills

At night, I Dream
And see only you
My life, it seems
No longer feels true
Since that special day
You came to my life
No other could Say
They’d be loved for life
By me, my heart
It belongs to one
One so far apart
Leaves me feeling Alone
I Never could say
That another will be
In my thoughts every day
Because you hold the key
To my heart, to my soul
To open my mind
to love and to hold
And never think twice
about troubles and pains
That all come and go
About storms and the rains
Turn to rivers that flow
Through our lives, as one
Or so I would wish
But It cannot be done
in situations like this
And so I must try
To move past this pain
And continue with life
Through my tears, and the rain
