Midnight Quills

I cannot be the perfect man you need,
Before you now I kneel, op’ning my heart,
And stare into your eyes only to plead
That we will never have to be apart

Please understand mistakes I’m bound to make,
And maybe I can’t always do it right,
But is love not a road of give and take,
The journey being made through day and night?

So through this journey I ask that you’ll stay,
Beside me through the bad times and the good,
And in my heart I’ll love you all the way,
To give you the affection that I should.
