Rest In Peace
I walk through life now like I can go on
All those around me think I’ve been so strong
But they don’t see inside of me
It’s all wrong
Don’t you understand where you left me?
A shadow of a man
Won’t you let me rest in peace?
Won’t you let me die and give me some release
Won’t you hang your head and grieve?
Just say goodbye
And let me rest in peace
I’m amongst friends and they all see me smile
Each day it’s easier to live in denial
But as the day turns into night
So starts my trial
And as I lie awake I cry
And reach out for a hand
