This week’s post is a bit different to the others I’ve written, but that’s kind of the point of #WritingPromptWednesday, to break up the style and to challenge myself to new and different expressions of creativity.

The stench of fish and sea hung in the air; and not the good kind. At Lygon Stormborn’s home in the Muzuban Isles, the breeze…
Leave a CommentOne of the most important aspects that I’ve found in getting myself into a creative space, is to ensure I have my workspace set up to foster that creativity. Of course, everyone has their own needs, but here’s some of my personal favourites in setting up my writing workspace.
Leave a CommentAnother Wednesday, another writing prompt. This week’s prompt again has come through Reedsy’s regular email list, which was a series of photos this time around. I’ve been wanting to play with a photo prompt since beginning this project, to be honest, so when this particular image grabbed my attention, I jumped on the chance.
Leave a CommentWith another year down, and another one starting, how many of us are ticking off the things that we didn’t complete for 2018? I went into the year expecting to finish the first draft of my current WIP, and then got hammered by all manner of distractions, challenges, and interruptions, and got nowhere near where I wanted to be.

Leave a CommentThe concept of #WritingPromptWednesday (Or #WPW) came up as a way to provide a level of continued inspiration. Each week, providing a single prompt toward a short story, poem, or other creative piece to help foster creativity. This first Writing Prompt centred around the concept of Sunrise.
Leave a CommentSo, I know that I’m supposed to be writing novels and working on the various projects that I have been creating for a number of years; however, there are some things that just have to be dealt with as a creative person, and one of those things is that sometimes the muse just smashes you around the head, and won’t stop beating you until that particular thing is out.
